Leave more confident and connected, a little bit tanner, and reenergized for work.
After months of couch potato detention and our Netflix berating us by asking if were still watching (yes, we were), we can finally reoccupy the world. Companies are back to in person relations and progressing at a rapid rate. Universally, not returning to what was once normal, but forward movement towards an elevated operating environment. Hosting a team offsite could be just what your crew needs to repossess their power. Take your company on a trip to reevaluate individual roles as well as who you are as a team to better serve your clients. Here at Bacarai we recognize how hard you work. Taking the time for a team offsite to align your team’s objectives increases efficiency, co-creation and collaboration, and overall synergy amongst coworkers.
While we’re at it, why not do it by the beach? Here is today’s question, Miami orCancun? Both fantastic, sandy options with different offerings. Let’s begin with our local option. Ah, Miami. A tropical city rich in culture, cuisine, and art. You can feel the electric energy flowing through the art deco streets. Overflowing with beachside hotels, restaurants, and vivacious nightlife you are always right in the action. Miami is a relatively common group travel destination as it has countless attractions and venues paired with world class weather. Group activities could vary from comedy shows, concerts, and live music to boat cruises, museum and art tours, or lounging by a luxury resort pool overlooking la playa.
Depending on budget, a room at a gorgeous waterfront hotel would run you about $300 per guest (not bad right?), that is not including a corporate package rate. Or a higher end option at say The Four Seasons would cost you roughly $500-600 per person per night. Each hotel in the Miami area is roughly twenty minutes from the Miami International Airport. With that being said, it is like any other city teeming with crazy drivers so factor that in when leaving for your flight! If you like to eat, soak up sunshine, and dance to latin music (or watch your coworkers try to salsa dance) Miami would be a wonderful choice.
Okay, leave the sunshine state on the back burner for just a moment. Now picture crystal clear water, turquoise and endless. That clear blue paradise is the MexicanCaribbean and you could be on a white sandy beach right in the heart of it, Cancun. Even if you’re not a history nerd like me, the Mayan ruins in Cancun are fascinating, ancient, and wonderfully preserved. If you’re looking for a team exercise that involves a little more adventure you could consider zip lining, ATV excursions, scuba diving, snorkeling, paddle boarding, swimming with dolphins, etc. You get the idea, Cancun is FUN.
Since the city revolves around entertaining globetrotters, they have something that appeals to everyone. Amenities like world class spas, signature golf courses, varied cultural cuisine, and activities for the adrenaline junkies or the lounge on the beach with a piña colada types (don’t worry, you can be both). Cancun is a wonderful little island well insulated from crime and conveniently the Cancun International Airport is approximately fifteen minutes from all the action. A resounding recommendation echoes for The Grand at Moon Palace. It is a stunning upscale resort standing tall, looking out over the Caribbean costing roughly $650 per night, not including a package rate. Budget conscious but still a perfect resort stay with a Caribbean lookout would run per person around $200 per night including live entertainment and plenty of high class restaurants and bars.
My favorite part of all, just offshore you will find the second largest coral reef on the planet, pretty freaking cool. Regardless of whether you choose Miami or Cancun you and your team will leave more confident and connected, a little bit tanner, and reenergized to tackle the year ahead.
